Hua-Xiaowei was born in Nanjing, China and educated in Vancouver, Canada. Then she moved to New York to study Jewelry Design in Pratt Institute. Her style is inspired by minimalism and contemporary fine jewelry, paintings and illustrations. She seeks to explore the relationship between wearers and artist by creating jewelry with interactions with consumers. Jewelry serves as a media for her to express and convey her thoughts, stories, and aesthetics.
